Thank You for visiting the first post of our blog: OpenThrive.com. I have tons of thing to share with you, but right now we should know each other first. I think, I should first.
Who am I?
I am a Mechanical Engineer, who is about to finish the line of B.Tech this year. I have learnt how to make a machine, how to run a steel making plant. Moreover, I had a laptop with 24×7 wifi connection and millions of extra seconds. I wanted to use that junky time, so I started freelancing to earn money online. Actually I did not want to do this in future, but a handsome money flow in my bank account have been poked me, and finally I have decided to create my own blog. Today I can see I have better opportunity in blogging stuffs than engineering job actually. Know More About me….
What is and Why OpenThrive:
OpenThrive is just a normal blog, created to help people who want to do something useful online. I know lot of topics are very harmful for a new blog, so I have decided to add them gradually.
I will start with most active online segment in India: Blogging and using blog as a traffic magnet for business website. You are thinking, O… Shit again a blogger blogging about how to blog. Please don’t say like that, you will find what are the different things here my pal. By the way, blogging and blogger are one of the most important part of online community. It has done pretty much well in USA and Europe, but in India there are lots of job yet to be done for blogging.
So, OpenThrive is going to be a great resource for blogging related stuffs. People usually think blogging is just the way of making money online using AdSense or affiliate links. Once upon a time blogging was the game of AdSense and affiliate links. But now it is more powerful weapon to target any wandering user to do whatever you want. You can make a huge community using blog to market them later.
Then I would like to add online business and marketing as the next topic of this blog. India has highest purchasing power in this world, so the biggest market lies here. But, there are two biggest problem here:
- People don’t want to buy online not only because most of them don’t know it’s safe, but also due to lack of actionable knowledge.
- Company don’t want to take any risk as marketing is always costly. It is because they use very traditional and less effective costly advertising technique.
So, encouraging business to come online will be the next big challenge of OpenThrive. Traditional Advertisements on TV, Radio, Newspaper and magazines are not effect now. According to a survey more than 80% people change channel during ad. Moreover, these are one way force selling process. So, it’s time to move on towards two way marketing strategy. It’s time to hunt customers without annoying them.
In my university there are 20k students but I don’t think there is a single student who want to create a job instead of finding a job. There are hardly few students with a professional blog. I don’t know much about other college, but I think most students in India want job instead of creating job.
Do you ever think why almost everyone is doing so even they know there is limited jobs there in the market? By the way there are tons of reasons but most important financial problem. Otherwise Child with high IQ in India is more than total children of USA. So, where is the problem we are still relaying on their rules? I think money was the problem, but now it’s our limited thinking and poor working approach.
This is the future project of OpenThrive to make a community of highly ambitious and energetic people, who want to do something new. A platform to connect creative people to their actual creativity. OT will provide startups whatever they want and whatever they need. As this is future project so I am doing some research on this, and also making a special team for thi
